Publication Printers is a family-owned printing company based out of Denver, CO. We are currently hiring two (2) Maintenance Control Technicians.  Our Maintenance Department is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation.  Applicants must be flexible and willing to work various shifts and be on call. 

Summary:  Maintenance Control Technician will perform all installations, mechanical & electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and research of all equipment in the pressroom and bindery.  Technician must be well versed at schematic reading and relay logic, along with programmable logic. Must also be able to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors and AC/DC drives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer and /or research any questions related to the mechanics or electrical of any piece of equipment in the pressroom, bindery and other departments as needed
  • Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions
  • Give daily attention to all equipment
  • Attempt to find and carry out preventive maintenance measures in respect to all equipment
  • Perform and /or assist in all steps of new equipment installation
  • Works in conjunction with Chief Mechanic in parts ordering and custom design
  • Works with all fellow co-workers in a respectful, cooperative manner
  • Willing to contribute whether by phone or in person to any mechanical or electrical problem that may arise at any given time
  • Is aware of and introduces new developments in the printing industry to increase production and overall press efficiency
  • Cleans up and keeps shop areas neat and orderly
  • Reports daily in writing to the Maintenance Supervisors about work performed that day
  • Log all repairs and preventive maintenance measures in appropriate log books or spread sheets
  • Communicates to mechanics on the other shifts regarding equipment issues that need to be addressed or monitored

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. routinely
  • Knowledge of electrical controls required
  • Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, construction, mechanical and repairs

Work Schedule:
  • Flex Schedule, 8 hours / day with weekly overtime of 5-10 hours  
  • Day Shift: Monday - Friday between the hours of 6am to 6pm
  • Night Shift: Monday - Friday between the hours of 6pm to 6am
  • On call for emergencies outside normal schedule and on weekends
